Saudi Food And Drug Authority (SFDA) Certificate for Cosmetics

Established as an independent body corporate that reports directly to the President of the Council of Ministers, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) was established pursuant to Council of Ministers resolution no. (1) dated 07/01/1424 H. The SFDA assumes the responsibilities of the agencies that are presently operational in terms of procedure, operations, and oversight.

About SFDA

The primary objective of the SFDA is to establish mandatory standard specifications for food, drugs, and medical devices, regardless of whether they are manufactured domestically or imported. Additionally, the SFDA regulates, supervises, and monitors such products. The governing body is accountable for overseeing and evaluating operations conducted in the laboratories of the SFDA or another agency. Furthermore, the responsibility for ensuring consumer awareness regarding food, drugs, medical devices, and all other products and supplies falls under the purview of the SFDA.
